COVID-19 Vaccine Information

The COVID-19 vaccine is now available for eligible patients at AFC Urgent Care Saugus. If you are eligible for the vaccine, please use the button above to schedule an appointment. According to state and local governments, all residents over the age of 16 are eligible for the vaccine.

Mass.gov provides patients with all the information they may need before coming in for their appointment. This includes current eligibility and what to expect during your appointment.

Those with certain medical conditions are eligible for the vaccine. Some of those conditions include cancer, heart conditions, or chronic kidney disease.

All other members of the community 16 years and older.

Q. When is the vaccine coming? 
A. The COVID vaccine is available for certain members of the public. Please refer to the list provided above, or our homepage to see if you are eligible for the vaccine at AFC Urgent Care Saugus

Q. Who is eligible for the vaccine
A. All Massachusetts residents over the age of 16 are eligible to receive the vaccine at this time. The FDA has not approved the vaccine for those under the age of 16. 

Q. What are the policies for seniors? 
A. Those 55 and older are eligible for the vaccine. As with any other patient, they should register for an appointment using the button above and visit AFC Urgent Care Saugus at the time of their appointment. 

Q. Is the vaccine safe? 
A. Yes, the COVID-19 vaccine is safe. It is the best way to prevent catching COVID-19. There are some short-term side effects, which is common for many vaccines, like the flu shot. These can include fever or slight pain in the injected area. 

Q. What do I need to do to get the vaccine
A. To receive the vaccine, patients should first check to see if they are eligible. From there, use the button above or on our homepage to schedule an appointment with AFC Urgent Care Saugus.
